Between 2011 and 2018, Manuscript operated as an independent publishing house, conceiving, editing and producing a series of culturally significant books and journals that meaningfully contributed to Australia’s creative landscape. This included major monographs of mid-career contemporary artists such as Michael Zavros, Liz Ham and Kate Ballis − publications that achieved global distribution and helped cement their international profiles. 
        Alongside these, Manuscript published 13 issues of its namesake magazine, bringing together leading voices across art, fashion and design. At a time of rapid media fragmentation, Manuscript carved out a distinct editorial space, championing long-form storytelling while demonstrating the viability of independent publishing as a creative platform. The Manuscript imprint not only lends its name to the studio today, but stands as an early expression of the integrated, editorially-led creative practice it has since become.
